Is it necessary for me to
provide personal information? How will
my information be used? Who can have access to my information? It is very
likely that these questions and other concerns have gone through your mind when
you are asked for personal information as you enter a website, in order to
allow you to register for browsing the website.
Frequently, users do not
know for sure whether the site they are visiting can be trusted or how any information
provided by them will be used. They have
concerns about consequences for the safety and privacy of themselves and of
their families. These two matters are fundamental for the
decisions users make regarding websites.
e-Mexico acknowledges this concern and makes it its own. The full use of the tools that the e-Mexico
portal contains requires that the person (user) be properly registered and
therefore it is necessary to provide some personal data. This information fulfills a twofold purpose:

properly as a user so you can participate in a particular community or even
create your own; plus you can best use the tools provided: discussion forums,
bulletin boards, chat facilities and surveys among others.

yourself (such as tastes and preferences) that will allow us to customize your
browsing experience through the portal with contents and information that are
akin to you.
